Week 11 Picks…Nutcrackers & Snowglobes

Christmas time around our house is very special!

There are Hallmark movies, Christmas Wish lists, candles that smell like a Christmas tree farm, more Hallmark movies, and beautiful decor that covers every spare inch of our house.

It is magical and our family of 4 loves every minute of it!

One tradition we (I really mean Hiliarie) started when our kids were born was Eli would get nutcrackers and HesterGrace would get snowglobes. Of course in the first few years from 2008 – 2012 or so Hiliarie had the opportunity to pick the ones for each kid and they were delighted to open it but over the last few years they are very opinionated about the prized possession that will be added to their collections.

HesterGrace had a great idea Saturday night to get the collections started a little early this season. She asked if we could get them about 100-plus times from Saturday night until Sunday after church. We told her that we would do so but her attitude had to be in line with getting her special treat a little early.

Needless to say, the snowglobes and nutcrackers are now magically adorned throughout our house like the prized possession they really are!

College football is now getting toward the end of the season where the prized possession of the new, heavy gold trophy is becoming an actual dream for some teams. This gold prize is out of sight as other programs are scratching and clawing for an opportunity to go bowling and gain that prized possession of 19 more practices. The last few weeks will be magical…get your wand ready!

I went an awesome 8-2 to move my total mark to 69-30 (69.69%). Eli went 6-4 to take his overall mark to 56-43 (56.56%). On to the picks:
